Most air conditioning systems last about 3-5 years with out servicing.

Basic components make up this system.

a. air conditioning compressor

 

b. condensor

 

c. evaporator

 

d. accumulator or drier

 

Most problems involved in air conditioning are loss of freon R-134 they call it now.

A leak can be small or big. A small leak say once a year cheap fix is have freon recharged.

Bigger leaks need components replaced. Either have a repair shop check for leaks or have a/c system checked. Compressor is number 2 problem when failing completely costing alot of money to fix.

3. electrical problem components not working at due to electrical problem broken wire etc.
